This event was a huge success with over 100 attendees who were all such friendly people. At the Big Lunch we were fortunate to be provided with informative talks presented by the Head of Education, Lori Lockyer, and lecturers within the School of Education. Michael Cavanagh reminded us that as we step into our courses we are not 'students' but rather we are pre-service teachers who should make the most of our degrees. Also, thank you to Penny and Nikki for sharing effective study tips which I'm sure a lot of us are going to start to take on. And remember how Sandy quoted Albert Einstein after sharing tips on how to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle while at uni: "It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."
Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it to our Big Lunch. We hope you enjoyed the company, the talks, the hilarious plate game and the sandwiches prepared by your executive committee.
